Terms of use
Clear information about what stays on your device, what is sent when you play in a private online room, and how long it is kept.
About the game
Roll & Roast is a free Ludo-inspired board game for entertainment. It does not require an account. Offline mode stores data on your device; clearing site data in the browser can remove matches, progress and looks. Unlocked looks do not change the rules or the die. Private online rooms are an additional, optional service requiring internet access; the offline game does not depend on them.
Online rooms
An online room is private and invite-only: 2 to 4 people, each on their own device, join with the room code or invite link, and the host can fill seats with bots. The server rolls the dice, validates moves and decides the result with the same rules as the offline game. Online matches are for fun: there are no rankings, ladders, prizes or official competitive results.
Fair use
Treat other players respectfully. Do not use display names that are offensive, discriminatory, harassing or impersonate someone else. Do not try to manipulate dice, moves or credentials, use modified clients or automation to play for you, guess room codes, enter rooms you were not invited to, or overload the server. The server applies automatic limits and may refuse connections, close abusive connections or close rooms that break these rules.
Absence and abandoned matches
If your connection drops, the game tries to reconnect and can return you to your seat on this device. After 90 seconds without a connection your seat is marked away and, on your turn, an announced stand-in bot plays for you until you return; the seat stays yours. A match with nobody connected for 5 minutes is abandoned with no winner. Idle lobbies and finished rooms close after 10 minutes.
Service availability and data
The online service is provided without any availability guarantee: connectivity, hosting and the server may be interrupted. A server update closes lobbies; matches in progress can usually be resumed, but this is not guaranteed. Room data is deleted no later than 24 hours after the last activity, as described in the privacy notice. Keep any offline progress you wish to preserve.
Content and rights
Game artwork, code and third-party components are subject to their respective copyright and licence terms. Toon Head portraits (Johan Melin, remixed by DiceBear) are under CC BY 4.0; DiceBear core and many project assets are under MIT. Detailed credits are in the game settings. Do not use the service unlawfully or in ways that harm other participants.
